Self Portrait

Slinky plum slip

drapes over my round white belly.

Umber tresses tumble

over tired sloped shoulders.

Cactus nestled in between.

Eyeballs ache to gush

over pitted cheeks,

mouth trembles down.

Frown creases are weighted ropes,

pulling, and pulling,

until it comes to rest,

all of the heaviness

inside of me.
